Jeune Fille / Jeune Femme

Two years ago, there was an F de C shop off Crown St in Sydney. When it closed, its contents came into the possession of a photographer. Two large boxes contained clothing from Belgium, Paris and Japan, and the photographer began shooting these garments on models. Originally it was because there were some rare pieces in there, museum grade fashion relics, and these boxes weren’t going to stay in Sydney for long. What has become of these images is an exhibition called Jeune-Fille/Jeune-Femme. Featured are the fashions of Alexander McQueen, Comme des Garcons, Dior, Dries Van Noten, Givenchy and Yohji Yamamoto, photographed by Hyun Lee. (more…)...
